Scribes Still Working Towards First Win

The Scribes headed up to the valley to take on the Abbotsford RFC on their home pitch. Tough they looked poised and cam in with a lot of energy and alot of number, the Scribes were unable to to stop the high octane offence of the Abby side, giving up 14 points in the first half, and another 17 in the second bringing the final to 31-3. The Scribes had plenty of chances however, and are showing definte signs of improvement as the team is working more cohesively as they have in the past. And no doubt for the first time in a long time the Scribes are bringing extra numbers to the games giving them the ability to inject energy at key points throughout the game. Jeff Chindu's work as a throw-in hooker won him forward of the match, while Cory Turner won it for the backs by giving up very little ground ground in his area of the field. Though we went home with a loss, the Scribes are showing definite signs of life and hope to continue building the momentum as they head down to Seattle next week. Thanks to all those who came out to support us, and we hope to reward you soon with a win.
