We have teamed up with Gullivers Travels to bring you to South Africa in May 2020. Departure leave on 8th of May and return on 19th of May (only 6 days of AV needed).
Total price is $2596 per person, but with some fundraising, we can bring this number down.

After October 31st, if we don’t have 26 Scribes signed up, we will open it up to friends of Scribes.

Day 1
Meet at Vancouver Airport three hours prior to your scheduled indirect flight to Cape Town.
Day 2
On arrival you at Cape Town Airport, meet your coach and transfer to your hotel in Cape Town where you will be based for the following three nights. Subject to schedules you could watch a Currie Cup match at Newlands / Greenpoint Stadium
Day 3
This morning included for you is a visit to the most iconic landmark in South Africa – Table Mountain where you will enjoy a cable car ride to the summit to witness some fantastic views across Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island and more.
Day 4
This morning you could link up with a local Rugby Charity project such as Connect Academy. At an agreed time you will transfer to play your first match of the tour.

Day 5
This morning check out of your hotel and transfer to a local club for a self led Training Session, afterwards a Surf Lesson could be arranged at Muzienberg Beach before you check into your hotel in Somerset West where you will be based for the following two nights.
Day 6
This morning included for you is a entrance to the Cheetah Outreach Sanctuary, an education and community-based programme created to raise awareness of the plight of the cheetah. Here you will see the fastest land mammals up close. You may choose to go into the cages and pet these fantastic animals.
At an agreed time you will transfer to play your second match of the tour.
Match Day 2 vs Local Rugby Side
Day 7
This morning check out of your hotel and today you enjoy a Cape Canopy Tour, where you will ride out into the mountains outside of Cape Town for an exhilarating zip-wire experience surrounded by stunning panoramic views around the beautiful Western Cape. Enjoy Lunch when you have completed the journey down the valley. In the late afternoon return to Cape Town where you will be based for the following three nights.
Day 8
This morning after breakfast you will transfer for a Langa Township Tour during which you will learn about the history of Cape Town’s oldest township and the day to day life of the locals as well as meeting some of the local children. After your tour you will have Lunch included at Sheila’s Restaurant in Langa. At an agreed time you will play the third and final match of the tour against a local community side.

Day 9
This morning make your way down to the V&A Waterfront to board a ferry to visit Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you will enjoy a tour of this infamous prison from an ex-political prisoner where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years. On your return to the Waterfront, entrance to The Springbok Experience is included, this modern, world-class rugby museum that pays homage to South Africa’s favourite sport.
Day 10
This morning depart your hotel and transfer to the Garden Route Game Lodge located near Albertinia, overlooking the Langeberg Mountain Range. Here you will be based for the final night of the tour. After settling in you will undertake a Dusk Game Drive in an open Landrover with a experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, white rhino, buffalo and cheetah.
Day 11
This morning, rise early for a Dawn Game Drive, filter coffee, tea and hot chocolate can be enjoyed in the restaurant before departing you will return to the lodge at for breakfast, you will then enjoy an informative guided tour of the Reptile and Interpretive Centre before you check out and return to Cape Town Airport where you will arrive in good time for your return flight to Vancouver.
Day 12
On arrival into Vancouver, pass through securities, collect your bags and disperse for home.
