Scribes RFC Update. March 4

Men’s team are off to Kelowna on Saturday. Accommodation is being covered by the club and Kelowna RFC are very keen to host us and go out Saturday night. Meet at the clubhouse at 7.20am to be on the road for 7.30. If you’re interested in coming please let Gavin know asap.
All players need to be paid up to play. If you can’t, talk to Marcus about setting up a payment plan.
Westshore RFC (Victoria) defaulted this Saturday’s game, if you can get some cardio in to keep your fitness up. Training on Monday, 6:30pm at Trout Lake Gravel Field and Wednesday, 7:30pm at Empire Fields. Bring a friend or two – training is always more productive when we have numbers. Talk to Reba if you want 7’s After Party tickets, she will be organizing the tickets for the Women’s Team. All proceeds go right to the club, this should be an easy sell!
Wednesday’s training for both teams is now at Empire Fields from 7.30 – 9pm. Monday’s training is at the all weather field by Trout Lake community centre at 6.30pm.
Please sign up for Rosterbot as this helps the team managers organize the teams and see who is available on game day & training sessions. Follow the links below for whichever team you are on. It will only take you a couple of minutes each week. All games will be uploaded shortly.

Minis will travel to Brockton Oval for a training session and match with the Rowers and Squamish clubs. 10:00 start. Coaches have made a decision with all the crap weather to make a call around 08:00 Sunday mornings to determine if cancelled or not due to weather. Check your emails around 08:30. No email means training is on. See you Sunday. Don’t forget mouthguards.

Canada 7’s After party
This is a big fundraiser for us.
We have arranged an after-party for Saturday and Sunday nights. Tickets for both nights cost $20 which includes drinks specials at each place. Saturday we are going to the Butcher and Bullock & Sunday we are doing a pub crawl starting at the lamplighter from 7 -9, then bar none from 9-11 & New Oxford from 11-2am. All proceeds from the tickets sold goes back to Scribes RFC. We will have 150 tickets for sale early next week.
