Scribes Men’s ended up losing a hard found game last weekend against the Kats. The final score was 18-16. This weekend, we are traveling to Klahanie Park in West Vancouver to take on Capilano RFC. Kick off will be at 11.30am. Players to meet at the field by 10.30am or at the Clubhouse at 9.45am to leave by 10am. Location of KlahaniePark

Our Women’s team had their first win at the weekend against Chilliwack RFC. This weekend, we have a bye weekend, but next weekend (March 14th) will be traveling to Seattle. An overnight trip is being planned and we are short on cars to transport the players there and back. If any supporters are interested in going and can bring some players, please let Marcus know ASAP.
We are still looking for more players for our women’s team. If you know of anyone that is interested in playing, please bring them along to training.

Mini’s are currently on Spring Break. There is a Jamboree scheduled for Coquitlam this Sunday. We are still trying to figure out if we have enough numbers to participate in the Jamboree. If we don’t we will have a training session at Trout Lake on Sunday morning. An update will be put on our website tomorrow afternoon. http://www.scribesrfc.com/minis/

Our mini’s program is growing from strength to strength, but we are still looking for more and more players. We have a new batch of posters and flyers available at the Clubhouse, so please hit up the local community centres and gyms to recruit more players.

Training continues every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6.30pm for Men & Women teams. Daylight savings beings on Sunday morning, so training will be mixed between the all weather field and the grass area adjacent to it. The Clubhouse will be open afterwards for beverages.

A big thank you to everyone that contributed to the Pacman fundraiser last weekend.
I’m sure the next event will be advertised shortly.
