Season

At the half way point in the season, Scribes are currently in 2nd position in the league, with the top 3 teams on equal points. As everyone knows, we need to finish in the top 3 to make the plays offs so every game is important and needs to be considered as a must win.

We had a great win last weekend against Chilliwack in very sloppy conditions. Chilliwack put up a brave fight and the score didn’t quite reflect the game. There were lots of tries and not so many kicks… but manage to finish 50 to 5.

Scribes RFC Vs. Burnaby

This weekend we are hosting Burnaby at Gordon Park. Kick off is a 1pm and all players are asked to be at the field for noon. Changing facilities & showers are available at the park.

After the game we will be hosting Burnaby at our Club Lounge. All players & supporters are welcome to come back for a beverage and some grub. We will be showing the 6 nations games from earlier in the day on the TVs. All the usual banter, boat races, etc expected.

Win / Win Tickets

Have you sold all your win/win tickets? We need to get them all back in for next Wednesday. Talk to English Stefan if you need any more tickets. The club makes 50% of the proceeds of the sales that you make.

Golf Tournament

This year we are going to have the Golf Tournament on June 16th in Bellingham. Overnight options available. More details to follow shortly or talk to Tere.

Training

Rugby training continues every Monday and Wednesday at Trout Lake. The clock will go forward one hour this Saturday night, so the evenings will be brighter for longer. We will start using the grass field adjacent to the all weather field from Monday night. Bring the appropriate foot ware for both fields.

The Lounge will be open on Wednesday evenings after training. Dinner is available for $5 a plate.

AGM

The AGM will be held at the Lounge on April 25th at 9pm. All members are requested to attend.
