Week 5 Recap: Tale of the Tries

Scribes Women won 63-29 over Langley RC

This was wide open, fast flowing rugby at its best, with long distance tries interspersed by the occasional tackle. In the end, Scribes simply had more endurance and speed and were able to outscore Langley at a 2-1 pace throughout the match.

With the win, Scribes will keep pace with with the table leaders. Scribes next face the Ridge Meadows Bruins on Saturday, March 30.

Scribes Men lost 24-22 to Brit Lions

The highlight of this match was an astonishing intercept try by Scribes second rower Irwin Greghi. That individual brilliance was nearly enough to pull Scribes into the ascendancy, but this game finished with the lads of from East Vancouver being agonizingly two points adrift at the final whistle.

Scribes next face SFU on campus this Saturday, March 30.
