Sun Tzu, the famed Chinese military thinker, once wrote that the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won. Credit then needs to sit with Scribes coaching staff, who accepted admissions of defeat before the battle was enjoined from both the Westshore Women and United Men this weekend.
The default by Westshore confirmed a second place finish in the regular season standings for the Scribes Women, representing their most successful season to date.
The women are poised to host a home playoff game on April 28th. Match details will be posted to our website and social media once confirmed.
The default by United marked the third entry into the win column for Scribes Men in the last five weeks, and wraps up their spring campaign on a positive note.
Scribes would like to thank Aaron O’Flaherty, who after two seasons in charge will be stepping down as Coach. Aaron spent countless hours in the cold and rain – and occasionally in the front row – helping to make Scribes competitive in the BCRU’s 2nd division. The program looks to be in good shape, and the Scribes should be hopeful of finishing further up the tables next season.
