It’s going to be a busy and exciting week ahead for Scribes RFC. Here’s what going on, and how you can get involved.

THURSDAY, APRIL 26

AGM
The Scribes Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday evening at the Scribes Clubhouse above the Legion on Commercial.

The room will be open at 5:30pm, with the meeting starting at 6:00pm. There will be lots to discuss and vote on, including the election of club executives for next year. To see who was on the 2017-18 club executive, click here.

SATURDAY, APRIL 28

MEN’S GAME
Scribes will be starting the day with a Men’s Over 30 v Under 30 game. The match will take place starting at 10:00am at Trout Lake.  All alumni and new recruits are encouraged to attend.

WOMEN’S SEMI FINAL PLAYOFF GAME
The big event for the club takes begins at 11:15am at Trout Lake. The Scribes Women will make their run at a first-ever championship trophy. They’ll face a tough semi-finals battle against Ridge Meadows Bruins, with a place in the Division 2 Championship Game on May 5th up for grabs.

MINIS JAMBOREE AT TROUT LAKE
Scribes will host a big mini rugby Jamboree on Sunday morning at Trout Lake, beginning at 10:00am. This event is a lot of fun, but there is plenty of work that goes into it and we’ll need your help. Any of the senior men’s or women’s players who can volunteer should attend.

CHARITY RUGBY TOURNAMENT
Emergency first-responders from Justice RFC, Flatliners and Smoke Eaters RC will be hosting a charity rugby tournament at Trout Lake, starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, with post-match social activities at our clubhouse following the games. All proceed raised will go to Honour House.
