The Scribes Women are set to defend their BC Rugby Division 2 Title next Saturday against Capilano.

The 2019 BC Rugby Club Finals, which take place May 4th at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club, will feature a rematch of the thrilling 2018 final which saw Scribes Women claim their first ever championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:15am on Field #2.

There is plenty of animosity whenever these two sides meet. During the regular season, Capilano cruised to victory on home turf, while Scribes claimed victory in East Vancouver by the narrowest of margins. Both sides are also on form, having posted lopsided wins over quality opponents in the Semi Finals .

Saturday’s Final will be contested in all aspects of the game and all areas of the field, with relatively equal strengths in the forward packs, the backs and the set pieces for both sides. Once again, it seems probable that the Championship will still be in the balance in this game’s closing moments.

Will Scribes repeat as Champions? We’re confident they can.
