The SFU 7s Rugby Tournament is on this Saturday and the Scribes are entering a team in the Social Division.

Anyone wanting to play meet at the old clubhouse on Commercial & 14th (1725 East 14th Ave) at 8.30am, or make your way up to SFU before 9am. There will be a few seats available. Anyone interested should come out as it is a great tournie and the beer garden is lively.

Here are some details from the organizers:

Ideally we would like all captains/managers there at 8:30am to receive these rules, a schedule and get your final rosters. However there are teams coming from out of town so we would like you there at least 30 minutes prior to your first game. A reminder that alcoholic beverages need to remain in the beer garden and that you should all arrange for a safe ride to and from the event. The tournament is located up at Simon Fraser University and will be played on Fox field and Field #2. With games being played on Fox Field, an artificial turf, please ensure that all metal studs on boots are replaced with plastic ones. Lastly, this is a family tournament so we would appreciate that clothing stays on.
