After spending the last few weeks training for the upcoming season, the Scribes Men’s Rugby Team gladly took to the field last Saturday against longtime rivals Kats RC.

The match proved to be physical, with the long summer layoff catching up to many players on both teams in the final quarter of play.

The game was in the balance with under five minutes to go when an ambitious Scribes offload found the hands of a Kats winger, who extended the visitors’ lead to 24-12.

While the desired result was not to be found for Scribes fans, it was a great atmosphere pitch-side, and post-match hosting was top-class, as always.

Scribes Men continue the pre-season on September 1st in Penticton, while regular season action begins for both the Men and Women in Langley on September 8th.
