Pre-season training is well underway at this stage with training sessions every Monday and Wednesday at Trout Lake Rugby field. Training starts at 6.30pm, so please be on time. We have a new coaching director who is working with a group to set up training plans, coaching techniques and of course be our coach. Please make a big effort to get to training.
The Scribes RFC men’s team’s first game is against SFU on September 26. More details to follow.
This year the dues remain unchanged from last year at $300, which includes shorts and socks. You must pay online at this link: https://rcmembers.sportngin.com/register/form/082172486 or go to the scribes page and click the link at the bottom of the page: http://www.scribesrfc.com/dues/
When you get to the Membership selection page, please select: Athlete & Management/Athlète et Direction. This will ensure you are covered for mini’s training and volunteering within the club. then select Senior Rugby Player / Joueur(euse) senior and Rugby Coach / Entraîneur(e) de rugby. Then continue on with your registration by selecting senior player etc.
We are looking for everyone to help out with the mini’s program. A couple of players will be assigned each weekl to help out with their games. This year each club will be having games each week, similar to what our senior teams do. This should make it more exciting for the players. Once we have the schedule, we will set up a roster in the clubhouse, so feel free to pick the dates that you want.
Referees, we don’t have enough of them. If you are interested in becoming a referee, let us know. If we have enough people, we will host a course at our clubhouse.
A huge thanks to our sponsors: Grandview Legion, Venetian Blinds, Standard Building Supplies, Slow Jam Sundays, Apex, Harris Co.
