Senior Game:
This weekend the Scribes are taking on the Capilano’s at Klahanie Park in North Van. Kick off is at 11.30am. All players are asked to be ready for the warm up at 10.30. For those you are going to meet up at our Clubhouse, Commercial & 14th, we will be leaving by 10am. Since this is a friendly game, everyone is going to get game time.
Our new coach is arriving this weekend and will be watching our game on Saturday. He is going to take over training on Monday. Everyone is asked to make a special effort to come out to training Monday.

Youth Rugby:
This year the Scribes will be field Under 14’s, Under 15’s and Under 17’s. Training will take place at 5.30pm on Wednesdays at Trout Lake. Their games will be on Sunday mornings. If you know of anyone that is interested in playing youth rugby, please bring them down to training. We are looking for volunteers to help out with training sessions & games. Please let me know if are interested in helping out.

Dues & Registration:
Membership dues are $200 again this year. All players are asked to fill in the membership forms so that you can be registered with BC rugby. This is very important as it covers your insurance for both training and games.

New Website:
New season – new website. We have launched a new website. Check it out and let us know what you think. There is still some more stuff to be uploaded onto the site, so please be patient.

Coaching Course:
Scribes in conjuction with BC rugby are going to host a coaching course. If you are interested in particpating, the course will done over 6 weeks, one night a week with 3 hours per session. The course costs $200 + HST, per person and we need a minimum of 8 people to go ahead with the coarse. After the course, you will be qualified as an IRB level 1 coach.

Referee’s Course:
BC Rugby is holding a referees course on September 24th & 26th. The cost of the course is $65. As we have to bring our own refs for junior games, more refs are needed within our club. If you are interested in doing this course, please get in contact with Tere Blake.
