This Week’s Game Vs. Burnaby

We were unlucky to go down at Brit Lions last weekend. We started off slow, and although we lost the game, the consensus was that we won the second half.
There were some positive moments and good instances of team play. There were also a few stand out performances including Irish Stef who appeared to play serveral positions all at once.
Another highlight was by Oli “110%” Glazer who chased a kick half the length of the field to score a try. That try was voted “fan favorite” and possibly the best try ever in the history of rugby.

This week we play Burnaby Lake RFC out in Burnaby.

Game start time is 11.30am. Meet at the clubhouse at Commercial & 14th at 10am, or at the field by 10.30am.

Afterwards the plan is to come straight back to the Scribes Lounge for beverages. The SFU boys will be joining us so there will be a good atmosphere. So make the effort to come back and drink a few cold ones.

There are a few Rugby World Cup games on, so watch them in the Lounge with a can of cheap beer or ten:

Games on Sat Sept 24
19.30 D Fiji v Samoa
22.00 C Ireland v Russia
00.30 B Argentina v Scotland

Don’t forget to make your picks for the Superbru Pool. It’s close at the top right now with several players within a point of each other.
