Scribes Women claimed a default win over Ridge Meadows, and then took full advantage of the beautiful autumn morning by running through a full team workout / scrimmage.

The defending champions’ campaign resumes  next Saturday against the Bayside Sharks.

The Scribes Men hosted the Squamish Axemen in an exhibition match at Gordon Park today.

The visitors made use of the kick and chase to score a pair of early tries, but Scribes hit back with a try of their own through either Jason Murphy or Gavin Maguire, depending on how the ref saw it.

Squamish added another three tries to their account, while Martin Cassidy struck back for Scribes. Final score 35-17 in favor of the Axemen.

Scribes Men resume their division 2 regular season schedule next Saturday in Burnaby against the Lakers.
