Kickoff at Burnaby Lake is scheduled for 12:45pm.

Scribes return to regular season play this Saturday with an away game at Burnaby Lake.

It’s been four weeks since the Scribes last took to the field against a Division Two opponent. In that time they have had points deducted in the standings for lacking front row players against Brit Lions, points added on account of an Abbotsford default, and they enjoyed a proper run out against Third Division side Squamish Axemen that did not count in the standings.

As we head into this weekend’s game, Scribes sit at the bottom of Pool B with 5 points and a record of 1W-3L. The Lakers, who sit at 3W-2L, swept the season series against Scribes last year courtesy of a dominant forward pack, and will be looking to assert themselves again at home this Saturday.

This one will be physical, so get the ice packs and the beer ready. Kickoff at Burnaby Lake is scheduled for 12:45pm.

Kickoff at South Surrey Athletic Park is scheduled for 10:00am.

Scribes participated in a training scrimmage last week after Ridge Meadows defaulted prior to kickoff. The 5 points taken helped Scribes keep pace with division leaders United.

Their opponent this Saturday will be Bayside, who come into this match with a 3W-2L record, but with a scoring differential of -81 points, there are possible defensive gaps to be exploited. If Scribes continue their form from earlier matches this season, they should have the upper hand in this one, but it’s still all to play for.
