WEEK #9 PREVIEW

Men:
Longtime Scribes will remember legendary derby matches against Ex-Britannia, Ex-Gladstone and Red Lions, who eventually joined forces to become Ex-Brit Lions RC. Saturday offers an opportunity to reconnect with the roots of Vancouver club rugby as the Scribes Men travel to Delta.

It has been many years since our rugby neighbors moved away to the suburbs in Delta, and their departure was a shame for two reasons: one – it was a great rivalry, and two – no one had to drive after the game. Alas, those days have receded into the glorious past, much like our hairlines. On Saturday, we will make the trek out to John Oliver Park for a 12:45pm kickoff against Brit Lions.

Women:
The Scribes Women are in the middle of a 20-day break between rugby games, which is kind of annoying. They return to the field on November 25th in Maple Ridge.

Minis:

Update: the latest report is that mini rugby at Stanley Park on Sunday has been canceled due to rain / poor field conditions.
