WEEK 11 PREVIEW

The Scribes Men’s Team square off against SFU on Saturday for the third time this season.

This matchup promises to be yet another classic contest between Scribes’ strength at the ruck versus SFU’s pace on the outside. Scribes will be looking to slow down the ball at the breakdown and make short, punishing gains in the middle of the park.

SFU have won the previous encounters, by scores of 45-39 and 26-17 respectively, with both matches coming down to big scoring plays in the closing minutes. Fitness has provided SFU the edge in those clashes, and the Scribes have been working hard on their fitness and conditioning in the last couple weeks of training in order to close the gap.

Saturday’s match at Gordon Park kicks off at 12:45pm. It’s the last game before the winter break for the men, so come out in force to support your club.

The Scribes Women have wrapped up their fall campaign, and sit comfortably in third place of the Division 2 standings.
