Women’s Rugby

Season 2022/23 (September 2022 to April 2023)

This year the season is being divided into two. The first half (from September to December) will have games played in a regional competition, where we will be playing teams from the Lower Mainland. From January 2023, we will enter into the BC Rugby Championship. Training sessions twice a week

  • Mondays at 6:30pm at Trout Lake All Weather field, 3300 Victoria Drive
  • Wednesdays at 7:30pm at Empire Field South (meet up at the warm up area on the south end of the park)

2021/22 season:

After a couple of years break, we were back in action in BC Division 1 and we finished the season by making it to the playoffs. Onwards and upwards for next season.

2019/20 season:

The season finished early this year due to the Covid-19.

2018/19 season

The Scribes Women are two-time defending BC Rugby Champions in Division 2 and we’re making plans to move up to Division 1.

We need your to help us get to the next level. Join the Scribes Women’s Rugby Team today!

Contact us by email, or come visit us during our training sessions.

Regular season training times & locations
Starting in September, training sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings take place at the Trout Lake Community Centre between 6:30pm-8:00pm.

As the days grow shorter in October, Wednesday evening training sessions will move to Empire Fields between 7:30pm-9:00pm

Competing
Scribes Women participate in the BC Rugby and Vancouver Rugby Union Lower Mainland Division 1 competitions. The season runs from September through November and January through May.

Socializing
Following home fixtures, the club hosts their opponents at the Scribes Rugby Bar above the Legion on Commercial Drive.
