The Legion will show the Superbowl on Sunday.

We have decided to go ahead with our first training session this Sunday despite the long weekend. It’s been awhile and I think many of us are excited to get running and passing again.
We have a rugby jamboree scheduled for the following weekend at Connaught park (west side, kits) where the Meralomas will host.

Adult Scribes are asked to remind nieces, nephews neighbours and coworkers about coming out and trying mini-rugby. It’s free to try. We need to build numbers!!!! Dave Holmes is expected to return as assistant coach volunteer and new coach Eimhin Quinn to begin volunteering. Coach Zeus Bailey soon off to a new life in Kingston, Ontario. We need additional scribe men and women players to rotate volunteering coaching duties on Sunday’s. The more the merrier.

Please sign up for Rosterbot as this helps the team managers organize the teams and see who is available on game day & training sessions. Follow the links below for whichever team you are on. It will only take you a couple of minutes each week. All games will be uploaded shortly.

Men into Plate Final & Minis at Brockton

Men’s Team make it to the Plate Final
After a couple of wins, we have found ourselves in the Plate final against Capilano. Although we beat them 25-0 a couple of weeks ago in very wet conditions, they could bring a different team….
Kick off will be at Gordon Park at 1pm. All players to be at the field ready for warm up at 12 noon. For those meeting at the clubhouse be there by 11.15am and those with cars, swing by to pick up some guys.
Supporters – Please get out and support the Men’s team. It’s been a good while since we won some silverware, so let’s get down there and support the boys.
The women’s game has been postponed for the trip to Seattle. As a club we really need to recruit more players.
Mini Rugby
The minis are heading to Brockton Oval this weekend in the final weekend of games for the Autumn Season. This weekend a few clubs are combining together for games. (Rowers, Scribes, Burnaby, United, Ravens, Surrey, Squamish) We really need our club members to help out this Sunday morning. Games start at 10am and finish at 11.30am

Women’s Team
The Women’s Team have a bye this weekend, but we will be meeting at 12noon at Gordon Park to have rugby training on the grass next to the field, before the Men’s game.
Please be on time so we can a valuable training session in. On November 21st we are going to Seattle, the club will be paying for accommodation for registered players, so please sign up ASAP at this sign up sheet – there are still 3 more games left in this half of the season, so let’s keep recruiting…
We recently joined up with Chilliwack’s women’s team, but given our geographical locations, this is likely to be unsustainable moving forward. We need to recruit more players so we can stand independently. It is everyone’s responsibility to recruit more players for Scribes teams.

Mini’s are at Burnaby Lake RFC on Sunday. Starts at 10am until 11.30am. We need people to help out.
