The 2010/11 Season

This year Scribes are again fielding two teams - in the 1st and 2nd division in the Lower Mainland - Coulter/Howie League. The season starts in Mid September so get on Wednesdays for a run and get your fitness up.

New players alway wanted - any skill level. Never played before? No problem, just come on out and experience the great game of rugby.

All summer long - play touch rugby at the rugby field in Trout Lake - all welcome. Beers in the Scribes Lounge--upstairs in the Legion afterwards (Wednesdays).

More golf shirts have arrived. They can be got from the club lounge after training this evening. Cost is $35.

Last Season:

Scribes topped the Lower Mainland Independent League last season without losing a single game. It was the best season in recent years. The Scribes then played in the Lower Mainland Independent Final on Saturday, April 23rd against the Kats RFC at Brockton Oval. There must have been about 150 people out watching what turned out to be a very close, intense and great game. The Kats, however, came out on top 19-10.

Scribes RFC - East Vancouver rugby is back on the map, with the Scribes RFC men's 1st division, 2nd division, Under 19s, and Over 40s teams.
