New Venue for Seattle Game: Rupert Park

The second half of the season got underway on Jan 30th against Surrey. Unfortunately both Scribes lost out in what were two tough games.

1st Div: Surrey 26 - Scribes 14

2nd Div: Surrey 15 - Scribes 5

Next up is Seattle. 1pm and 2.30pm start times **Venue changed to Rupert Park.

Clubhouse: Upstairs in the Legion
We have hired the upstairs part of the legion (above smoking room) for the next number of months until the clubhouse is ready.

Scribes Super Bowl Party will be hosted there (upstairs part of the legion) on Sunday February 7 2010. Come along for some NFL action.

Training is on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Trout Lake All Weather Field - all welcome. Beers in the Legion afterwards (Wednesdays).

New players alway wanted - any skill level. Never played before? No problem, just come on out and experience the great game of rugby.

This year Scribes are fielding two teams - in the 1st and 2nd division in the Lower Mainland - Coulter/Howie League.

Last Season:

Scribes topped the Lower Mainland Independent League last season without losing a single game. It was the best season in recent years. The Scribes then played in the Lower Mainland Independent Final on Saturday, April 23rd against the Kats RFC at Brockton Oval. There must have been about 150 people out watching what turned out to be a very close, intense and great game. The Kats, however, came out on top 19-10.

Scribes RFC - East Vancouver rugby is back on the map, with the Scribes RFC men's 1st division, 2nd division, Under 19s, and Over 40s teams..
