Juniors & Minis

Mini Rugby is a fun, energetic, team sport for girls and boys

Minis Rugby

Scribes Mini Rugby Coaches will work with the kids in teaching them the fundamentals of rugby, which in turn develops confidence, agility, balance, hand-eye coordination, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Minis Ages 4-6 (U6)Rookie Rugby – non contact tag rugby
Minis Ages 7-8 (U8) Rookie Rugby – non contact tag rugby
Minis Ages 9-10 (U10) Rookie Rugby – non contact tag rugby
Minis Ages 11-12 (U12)  Introduction to contact rugby

The 2023/24 season begins Sept 10th (Sunday) at Trout Lake Rugby Field - 10am to 11:30am

Season is from September to April, with a break in December & January.

Costs are:

  • U12 (intro to contract) $120

  • U10, U8, U6 (non contact) $75
     

Playing region Vancouver Sea to Sky (city of Vancouver, West Van & Squamish)

Juniors Rugby

In the 2023/24 season, we are looking to build on the last few years and continue to grow out the programs, starting out with playing 7s. Scribes are looking to to have the following teams this season:

  • U14 boys

  • U14 girls

  • U16 boys

  • U16 girls

  • U18 boys

Training will take place on Tuesday evening at 5:00pm - 6:00pm Trout Lake rugby field, located in the North East Corner of John Hendry Park.

Games will be on Sunday mornings, full schedule to be released in the next few weeks.

Once completed, the Scribes RFC registrar will receive a notification of the registration.

Jerseys & shorts are available through our exchange program for $80. When you return the gear, you get your deposit back.

Things to bring with you
Training attire, including uniform, socks, water bottle, and a good attitude.

Please bring uniform deposit, cleats (rugby/soccer), and a water bottle to the first training session.
